Muse

She smokes a joint now
He looks on
Puff! Rings! lost in time.

Gone

Simple genuine warmth
green curtains
A cruel world outside.

Fire-Fly

And this innocence
you so reveled in
is now gone.
And all you ask is
"What happened?"
Nothing happened.
Nothing can happen.
How would you know?
After all it was you
who took it all away.
You clap and dance for others now.

Through the coloured lens

Orange flowing garb of truth
A silent Buddha
Compassion! Peace!
at a Cafe near you.
Orange skies of hopes
Small children
Nuns and Monks
smile at you
through sparkling little eyes.
Orange goodbyes
My heart weeps
What beauty must I have known?
to have left it behind those clouds
that play hide-and-seek
a mischievous minstrel
with the flute in her hand.
And orange orange sighs
I want to go back
get lost in those wild winds
one among the Crowd
that knows how to forgive.
Yes I want to go back
Can you hear the Mandolin player
music in his heart at 8:30 PM?
He learns English in the mornings.
For all these and much more
this crazy heart o' mine
I want to go back, back to the wilderness.
